There’s a lot I could tell you about the new Otterbox booth for the third-generation Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker. I could tell you about its “durable materials” or how it is designed to cling “securely” to the Echo device. Amazon’s list even states that its “adjustable, non-slip base” is “designed for optimal audio output.”
But we both know that none of this is important, because what’s really important is that this base adds small Emmy-nominated Yoda * ears to the sides of your Echo Dot. If you want to pretend you’re actually talking The Mandalorian every time you ask Alexa to set a timer, this is (probably) the easiest way to do it.
The stand is made up of Otterbox, a company best known for its smartphone cases, but which has also released over the years several interesting gadget accessories. There are the stackable wireless chargers he announced last year, or the phone cases that come with PopSacks built into the PopSockets style.
OtterBox Baby Yoda’s Amazon Echo booth is available for pre-order on Amazon now, with a release scheduled for August 20 for $ 24.95. For those who track, this is a little less than half the cost of the Amazon Echo Dot itself. The stand is only designed to work with third-generation smart speakers.
* Yes, I know the character is technically called “The Boy”, but please, live a little.
