CLEVELAND, Ohio: is the game where the Indians and Gemini Friday night at Target Field.
Earlier, both teams and MLB talked about possibly postponing Friday’s game at 8:10 p.m. due to two St. Louis Cardinals players putting a positive result for the coronavirus. The Cardinals played the Twins at Target Field on Wednesday, the day before the Indians got to play a four-game series in Minneapolis.
The Cardinals announced Friday morning that both players showed positives Wednesday while the team was in Minneapolis.
On Friday, just after 4:30 p.m., the Indians and the Twins were allowed to play the match. The Indians will send Mike Clevinger to the mound to face Randy Dobnak of Minnesota.
The Indians were left behind in the preparation of the pregame because they did not leave the hotel until they felt that they were definitely going to play. The visiting locker room also had to be sanitized again.
Shane Bieber and James Karinchak threw the Indians on Thursday night with a 2-0 win in the first game of the series. Bieber threw eight goalless innings with 13 attacks and Karinchak pitched ninth for his first breakaway.
This will be Clevinger’s second start to the season.
