LAS VEGAS >> Southwest Airlines's chief executive says the Dallas-based carrier is considering unplugged flights between Las Vegas and Hawaii.
North American CEO Gary Kelly says Hawaii flights are being launched from four cities in California, the airline that starts this year, but flights from Nevada to Hawaii could be placed on available next year.
The airline hopes to put a service in Hawaii in April.
He completed a test flight from Oakland, California, to Honolulu last month to show federal aviation officers that it should be authorized to fly across the Pacific Ocean.
The airline is waiting for a certificate by the Federal Aviation Administration to start commercial flights to Hawaii.
