Ford already sells several Shelby versions of the Mustang. But in case they don’t meet your Shelby needs, Shelby American has just announced the Carroll Shelby Signature Edition versions of the GT350, GT350R and GT500 versions.
The company claims that the GT500 Carroll Shelby Signature Edition or GT500SE will make a power of “800 more”, offering a gain of 40 hp from the base car of 760 hp. This provides a larger supercharger pulley, up-to-date cooling and performance axles. The suspension, tilt bars and wheel shoulders also receive upgrades to tackle the extra turn. On the outside, you get a special ventilated carbon hood, Shelby stripes and badges, and Shelby brand locks. A wide body kit is optional, while each GT500SE includes upgraded seats and a commemorative dashboard.
Both GT350SE and GT350RSe get the same upgrades, with no added power. Instead, they get new springs, tilting bars, camera plates, and “performance-specific tires.” Cosmetically, the GT350SEs come with Shelby badge, stripes and a new Shelby tail panel. The leather seats are recovered and a dashboard notes the importance of the car. You can also get a special carbon fiber hood and a wide body kit, but these are optional accessories.
These special editions are not cheap and will not be common places of interest. The GT350 and GT350R upgrades cost $ 9995 plus the donor vehicle and will be limited to 100 vehicles. The GT500SE package is priced at $ 29,995 plus a GT500, and the total price of a base GT500SE is just over $ 100,000. Only 100 will be made.
