Several items including a sled, a pipe and a chain with a lock were found Thursday during the cleanup of downtown Portland, Ore., Parks near which protests have been protesting for weeks, police officials said Thursday .
The maintenance of Chapman and Lownsdale Squares – which sit side by side – took place after a night of clashes between authorities and protesters in the U.S. courthouse district Mark O. Hatfield, say the Portland Police Office.

Officers gave people who were within 10 minutes to clear the area and no arrests were made initially. Aside from weapons, other items recovered from the parks included armor, helmets, shields and blowers.
“There is also a shocking amount of rubbish in the parks,” a police statement said.
Police officers who provided security for the cleanup arrested two people. Kristina Naranja Rivera, 34, faces disorderly conduct and charges of criminal embezzlement, and Camillo Massagli, 25, faces charges of criminal embezzlement, assault and interference with a peace officer.
Wednesday night, several hundred people gathered outside the courthouse. Police said a group that stayed up late at night were wearing gas masks and carrying signs, hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks, umbrellas, leaf blowers and fireworks.
At one point, the building was oriented with bottles, gas containers and other objects. In addition to the Wednesday night protest, the city experienced multiple shootings and complaints from people who were assaulted near a group with a handgun.

Two minors were arrested on suspicion of assault.
