On Friday (July 31), Lil Wayne teamed up with fellow Money Money, Gudda Gudda and Jay Jones, for the collective’s latest music video for “Thug Life.”
Shot at Wayne Skating Rink, Weezy is in pure form, delivering high-octane speed at a frantic pace. “I want my babies to have a $ 100 budget. My chucks, in some cases, teach me how crazy it is, that is, how it cools down,” he says. With his polystyrene cup in his hand, he faster accelerates his flow in the hypnotic rhythm, before Jay Jones enters with a pointed verse. Soon after, the rhythm turns on and Gudda Gudda and Wayne start trading bars through the ominous soundscape.
Two weeks ago, Wayne opened his first season on Young Money Radio with an interview with Birdman. The two talked about possibly making a sequel to their 2006 collaborative album From such a stick such a splinter. “I want it to be a farewell thing,” Birdman told Wayne during his talk. His first effort was successful with commercial hits and big hits like “Stuntin ̵6;Like My Daddy” and “Leather So Soft”.
Following the conclusion of Wayne’s Young Money radio show, which previously held interviews with Drake, 50 Cent, Migos, Nicki Minaj and more, Weezy greeted his fans for tuning in.
“Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for debuting this first greatest season of any podcast or radio show ever,” Wayne wrote gratefully on Instagram.
