Former Secretary of State John Kerry was assassinated on Wednesday for statements he made earlier stating that there would be no peace in the Middle East without the Palestinians.
On Tuesday, President Trump was joined by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalif, for signing the Abraham Accords, which the president hailed as “the dawn of a new Middle East.”
The next day, however, a 2016 clip from Kerry resurfaced that cast doubt on whether any peace between Israel and the Arab world would be possible without the Palestinians on board.
“There will be no separate peace between Israel and the Arab world,” Kerry began in a speech compromise. “I want to make it very clear to all of you. I have heard several prominent politicians in Israel at times: ̵6;Well, now the Arab world is in a different place. We just have to contact them. We can work on some things with the Arab world and we will deal with the Palestinians. ” No, no and no. “

He continued, “I can tell you that, reaffirmed over the last week because I have spoken to the leaders of the Arab community, there will be no advanced and separate peace with the Arab world without the Palestinian process and Palestinian peace. Everyone needs to understand this. This is a harsh reality. “
The clip, shared by Udi Evental, a member of the Institute of Politics and Strategy, went viral with critics clashing with the then-discredited statement from the then Obama official.
“John Kerry with the Middle East of 2016 takes that aging thing like milk in the sauna,” Tablet Magazine associate editor Noam Blum reacted.
“Exactly backwards. Remarkable,” wrote Hudson Institute Fellow Rebeccah Heinrich.
“Man … Has anyone been more abject about something wrong?” Asked National Review contributor Pradheep Shanker.
KUSHNER CANCELLS INTERVIEW WITH MSNBC’S ANDREA MITCHELL AFTER SAYING ABRAHAM AGREEMENTS “THERE IS NO PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST”
“I wondered why there was no tweet praising the signing of the historic peace agreements yesterday on @ JohnKerry’s Twitter account. Now I know. It’s terrifying to see how many foreign policy experts have been wrong. But it’s even more scandalous that few of them will even admit. ” Joel Petlin, a collaborator with the Jewish Telegraph Agency, tweeted.
“The only thing more surprising than this clip of John Kerry is that Democrats are currently running the same people’s position of this administration clueless in the WH,” concluded Washington Free Beacon executive editor Brent Scher.
