Withcandidate to be president of the United States, the series of cartoons and live comedies of the NBC you need a celebrity to play it. Actor-comedian has landed the role, it announced Saturday Night Live.
“There was some interest on his part, and then we obviously responded positively,” SNL producer Lorne Michaels told Vulture. “But he was reduced to discussions about what the dam was. He’ll give energy and strength to the part, and I hope it’s fun.”
Previous celebrities who played the former vice president are included, Kevin Nealon, John Mulaney and, most recently, actor Woody Harrelson.
SNL will also begin the new season with five consecutive shows on October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. This is the first time in the long history of the show that it will feature many consecutive episodes.
“I made the decision at the beginning … that we would do something we hadn’t done before, which was five shows in a row,” Michaels said. “Because there’s four debates and then it’s Halloween, and this is the weekend before the election. And unfortunately, if the election goes on, we’ll do six or seven shows in a row.”
The show also announced it– Lauren Holt, Punkie Johnson and Andrew Dismukes – have joined the cast for the new season. .
According to the social distancing protocol, the show will also have a limited audience in the studio at Rockefeller Center in New York and “work closely with Governor Cuomo’s team.”
SNL premieres its new season on NBC on October 3rd.
