Google has deployed a couple of security tools to protect the financial information and passwords you’ve saved with Chrome’s auto-fill feature. One of them will allow you to verify your identity using biometric information, such as your fingerprint, whenever you want to use your credit card online.
Currently, autofill requires you to write the CVC of the card each time you use it. But if you decide to turn on biometric authentication – it’s completely optional and is on the Chrome Settings page ̵1; just enter your CVC the first time you use a card. This can help prevent card loss or theft, as you do not need to remove your CC in case you are in public. You can already rely on the feature to retrieve card details in Chrome for Windows and Mac and it will arrive on Android in the coming weeks.
