Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the big update of season 5 of Warzone are already here, and now developer Infinity Ward has offered some details on what to expect.
Season 5 features Shadow Company, which is a “mysterious new private military enterprise” aligned with the Alliance, but only in name.
“Shadow Company, an elite PMC, operates outside the confines of the original armistice. Forged from the fighting fires between the coalition and the Alliance, Shadow Company has its own framework and agenda,”; Infinity Ward said in a blog post . publish
Shadow Company is a “split group” that has grown impatient with Captain Price and his leadership. The squadron comes to Modern Warfare to “deal directly with terrorist threats.”
The Shadow Company includes new operators Rozlin “Roze” Helms (formerly aligned with the Jackal faction), along with Velikan, and Marcus “Lerch” Ortega.
Lerch is a former U.S. Navy from Plano, Texas, who struggled to readjust to civilian life, so he joined the private military enterprise. “There is no contract that Lerch will not take on or challenge, which is how he finds himself in Verdansk at the helm of the other Shadow Company operators,” Infinity Ward said.
More details are available for Velikan, who is described as “a shadow of a shadow.”
“The tales of his exploits are written like fairy tales at best and serious exaggerations at worst. Those who never know him speak ill. No one knows it out of fear or respect, they no longer know it,” he said. dir Infinity Ward.
As for Roze, we know nothing about her beyond her jackal roots.
More details should be available very soon, as season 5 is expected to release the first week of August on PS4, Xbox One and PC. A new battle step is also approaching. For now, you can check out the new trailer for the previous Season 5.
In other news, Modern Warfare and Warzone now offer double XP, which comes at a good time for those looking to move between the ranks and claim more Battle Pass items.
