2019 ACC Tournament: Zion Williamson solves Duke for the third game of the Blue Devils against UNC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Duke and Zion Williamson celebrated the superstar to take action at the ACP Competition to show all aspects of why, even after losing five games for injury, he was named as the AGW Player of the Year. There were dunks, rebounds, steals, three-tips, a nearly perfect field goal percentage and lots of ready-viral highlights that became a trademark of Zion basketball career.

Williamson completed the game with 29 points on a 13-for-13 shooting with 14 rebounds, five steals and a block. The crew of anyone who was crying the new man from the moment the game started. Concerns about the health of his generation? Consider a force to open open floor dunk in the initial minutes of the 84-72 win against Syracuse.

During her being hit Syracuse, Duke semifinals puts forward to the ACC Tournament to face North Carolina for less than a month. But this time, and full strength in anticipation of a full game on Zion, the Blue Devils will be given far better margins to bring down the Taurus.

Williamson put the conversation about "stopping" before he returned, and stressed his desire to spend the rest of this season with his colleagues and to pursue a national championship. When he walked out of the floor in Smith's Center last Saturday night after sitting out on the fifth straight, Zion knew for sure that a Duke would have another crack at the Bull. The expectation that he will return to the building from the moment his explosion exploded 36 seconds into the first meeting against UNC, so he expects Williamson to lead the Duke of Rescue.

This is the third year that Duke and North Carolina have always played the ACC Tournament and the 23-year tournament, and each year has a different weight and importance. Usually the bets are low compared to what you would expect from such intense competition as usual and this week. The two teams are usually locked in their future NCAA Tournament, not only firmly in the competition but are sufficiently seeding, and the monitoring can be closer to a neutral early-season court display. Both teams are trying to win, certainly, but the loss of their future does not change their immediate or long-term future.

Friday night's main exhibition in the semifinals is different, because the promises for the NCAA Competition could not be higher.

Both teams are in the mix for seeds No. 1

which can double the chances of doubleing the Four Final rather than landing online No. North Carolina can reinforce its argument to the selection committee by finally removing the Zion-powered Duke team for the extraordinary 3-game relaxation in the competition – which has not been achieved since Duke won the three meetings in 2002. If he meets with North Carolina, Duke is able to separate that result from his Zion-less losses for the Tar Tar and maybe get a chance to address Virginia, the only "green" for No seeds. 1 in the championship match on Saturday night.

That's what makes Friday night so interesting. We do not get a Duke and North Carolina in the ACP Competition, but we get that replica at a time when there is still so much for these two national title competitors.
